Hi all, I've got a wacom graphire tablet. And the surface has some nicks on it. Looks fine, but the pen moves across it, the smooth line is "chipped" in the middle. The damage is over the clear semi smooth plastic sheet over the tablet. Any tips on how to smooth it out?

Pix of the Tablet

Thanks in advance.

You might try a very mild abrasive cleanser on a cloth - rub hard on the plastic flip shield. I have even polished nicks out of glass using jeweler's rouge that way. Silver polish also contains a mild abrasive. You just need to smooth out the plastic surface on that flip sheet.

thanks corky. I was going to use very fine sand paper at first, but i think your method will probably work better.

I have a older Wacom artPad that I had a similiar problem with.

Resolved it buy using a piece of the self-adhesive Clear Laminate, cut to size.
The surface needs to be fairly clean, so I used a cotton swab and alcohol (not isopropyl).

It just needed a minor adjustment in pen pressure settings.
