Wacom S-pen hits its maximum nib force level too early

Hi,

This is my first post. I am doing some work with the s-pen and a windows 8 tablet PC (Samsung XE700T1C). The system is working fine, but I am finding that the pen hits its maximum nib force level (value of 1024) for not a lot of nib force. Does anyone know if there is a way in hardware or software to increase this upper limit so I don't saturate/max-out the force level so easily? Is there another pen that offers a larger range of pressures?
