Wacom bamboo question

I want to get a graphics tablet. I'd be happy with a little bamboo - however, I noticed that it has a 16:9 aspect ratio (the tablet) - my monitor is a standard ratio monitor though. Does anyone know if this will negatively affect my experience with it?
