W98SE system tray ICONs are blurry

Someone has changed some settings that affected size and resolution of my computer. I changed the resolution back to 800 x 600 ( large enough for me to see), set "show large ICONs", but the ICONs in the system tray are blurry. Most noticable is the "dial up network" ICON, that is very difficult to see if I am sending or recieving data. The small screens light up, but not the way they did before this change. Where is the settings for system tray ICONs? I can't find anything when using Windows Help or Microsofts website. It appears that changing properties settings in the display has no effect on systray. I am using W98SE and Norton SystemWorks 2001. Can anyone help me?

Go to system properties. In the third tab u'll find something which says use all possible colors while displaying icons - or something of that sort- That should solve ur problem !

First off, uncheck show large icons. Next thing is to do like thundergod said and to check the option that says show icons using all possible colors. Also, make sure that your display is set to High Color (16 bit) and if you use the desktop themes, make sure to pick one that says high color on it. Reboot and your tray icons should go back to what you're used to.

Hope this helps.
