Hello ,

I have a problem ... I have my Win 98 as a server 😉 , and my Win2K (Advanced Server) as a client ;--))) (Don't ask me why 😉 )

so, the problem is , my win2k doesn't want to see my win98 pc 1/3 of the times ... but ME on the same computer , sees it's just fine ... when I restart server (W98) , W2K starts to see it ...

Thank you for your responses,
bye .

In win2k, try removing any network protocols you're not using, and try using Netbeui for the LAN communication.

If you are using Win98 as gateway to internet with ICS installed, you should check the bindings among your network cards specially TCP/IP to "printer and file sharing" bindings. On your Win2k machine you have to enable NETBEUI on TCP feature if you are using NETBEUI.
