The problem has been identified, and we are actively working on a resolution. There is no impact to user data or functionality, this is strictly a front-end display issue. W7 SP1 will automatically be pushed out via Windows Update starting March 19th

Even though I do not yet use Windows 7, I do have the OS from the launch event (32 & 64 bit dvds) .. I also ordered and received, about 6 months ago, the SP1 CD from Microsoft for Windows 7
 
I wonder what would happen if in the rare case that SP1 doesn't install, will it keep trying each time you restart?

Don't think you will see SP2 for Win7 from what Microsoft of stated so far,anyway Win7 with SP1 being pushed is a good thing security wise,obviously when you get service pack install issues it will be a problem but normally this is not the case for most users.
