Just thought I'd mention after installing SP1 I reran my WEI and it bumped up my Intel G2 x25-v from a 5.8 to a 6.9. Not really sure what it's finding as an improvement but, nonetheless, quite interesting.

This is a newb question but can you only slipstream SP1 into a retail copy of Windows 7? What about a OEM copy? I've manually slipstreamed service packs for XP in the past but I haven't done so with Vista or 7. I know about RT Seven lite and how to do it I was just curious about OEM copies.

I'm 3 for 3 with successful SP1 updates. All Win7 HP, two 64-bit, one 32-bit machine. The 32-bit machine, I did it via windows update. The other two 64-bit machines, I downloaded both the X64 and X86 executables and burned them to a DVD and used that to update them.

Yep I get this too :(

I was getting it for a while, I tried one last time and it got past the 18% mark but was downloading very slowly. I canceled it and downloaded the standalone version instead and ran that. A half hour later I was updated.
