Evening,

I'm hoping someone has had experienced with this virus, basically every time I go and check my email through Outlook 2002 by downloading from the server, Norton Antivirus pops up with a virus alert telling me they removed a virus (Yaha) from my c:\documents...\..\..\Temp\CC###.tmp. Everytime the ### are different numbers.

I've downloaded the tool from this
Symantec Page but the results after the scan were negative, it stated that I wasn't infected.

Anyhow, infected or not, the Antivirus pop ups everytime I go to download email is getting on my nerves. Any ideas?
 
Well, looking at that symantec page, it looks like yaha will kill the nav process... you might try their manual removal process down toward the bottom of that page... it requires a registry change, so be careful!

I can think of two other options:

1. Download and try AVG. It doesn't appear to be on the list of processes that yaha kills.
2. Try Housecall from Trend AV. It's an online scan - should also be immune.

Then keep your AV dat files up-to-date. Install any security patches available for your OS.

Thanks for the reply guys, I used a couple of the online services, their checks turned up nothing. Could it be possible that the server I'm grabbing my mail off of is infected and that Norton is deleting the virus everytime I download it?
