W2K/XP command line DNS settings?

I've looked at Microsoft's site and searched Google. Does anyone know if DNS settings can be set via the command line in W2K and/or WinXP Pro? The ipconfig documentation doesn't list any DNS options.

BTW, this is posted in Operating Systems as well. I wasn't exactly sure which forum it belonged it. (Admins feel free to remove one or the other) :)

Thanks!

I'm not aware of any CLI options for setting/editing DNS records in WIN2K or XP. The only way I know of is the DNS GUI.

When you get in there, you'll notice a couple "new" record types that Microsoft made up for use with the Active Directory stuff.

if you are talking about client DNS settings, you can use netsh from a command line to change DNS settings.

check this old post, I walked through how to set up a batch file using netsh to change IP settings.

Hope that helps.
