W2k <> Win98 network file copy problem

Main puter is W98, other is W2K. Each computer can see each others files. When I commence to copy from one to the other, I get error messages like &quot;the specified network resource or device is no longer available&quot;. Funny, I can delete files thru the network but can't copy. Any suggestions?.......thanks
