W2K Wierdness

Hi there. I've got the wierdest problem! I recently replaced a hard drive in my system - the old one occasionally refused to start at boot time. I transferred all files OK and it's been working like a champ. I also have XP installed on one of the partitions of this drive (it's 80 Gb Hitachi Deskstar).

Booting W2K (installed on C🙂 and the drive fails to show (none of the three partitions are visible) and disk manager offers me the option of the wizard for writing a signature (or whatever it is) to the drive and also informs me that it is a 3.89 Gb drive!

XP, on the other hand (which is installed on this drive) boots fine and I can see all partitions.

Any ideas what the heck is going on and how I can fix it????

Thanks in advance, regards, Chris B.
