W2K System hangs on boot

I recently did a fresh install of W2K on my PIII 866, 512 MB Ram system. On boot up it hangs for 4 Minutes (I timed it). My other computer a PIII 500 with 384MB Ram also just got upgraded to W2K and takes less than 2 minutes to boot (normal time). I do have a network card installed as well.

I am stumped and I know this isn?t enough information but let me know what else you need. After checking TechNet Nothing there even came close.

TMP, do you have any more details?

Once the system is up and running, does it function at a decent speed or does this extreme slowness continue on once the OS is loaded up.

Also, can you check the event log (specifically the system log) and let us know if there are any Warnings or Errors listed.

Thanks,

Jeff
