I think it was Shogun and Emperor: Battle For Dune. I was amazed that I could just minimize one, and run the other. I did it over a period of a couple days without problems. I thought for sure either vid or sound would crash one or both, or the complete system, but no problems.

Is this normal? Anyone do this on a regular basis? I've got 2 SCSI readers, and 2 SCSI burners, and 1 Gig of RAM. Also, have all my hard drives on seperate IDE ports. Maybe this helps? Just how much am I pushing my luck by doing this?

No, I don't think you're pushing anything... I quite often have several different applications running at the sametime. Corel Draw, Photoshop, a couple of other imaging programs, digital camera, Internet browser, Windows Explorer, Multi media building programs, while playing Mp3's and sometimes I play games underneath all of this too (Usually Empire Earth). I feel that if it can't cope... then I will have to get a better computer! At the moment though I am happy with what I have built and I have only ever had 1 OS crash in 6 months.

*Edit* I never played games much until I played Empire Earth... what a way to waist a day!

CSFM--OK.....I'll keep pushing it.

I've had 3 lockups since I installed it...about a year ago. All 3 were when I made an incorrect selection with Nero. I've learned not to do that. I have had some crashes to desktop, but blame that more on the games than the OS. I guess that's what quicksaves are for:)
