W2k problem... Trying to install program getting tooltips_32 error

Fresh install of win2k pro

I was trying to install winzip and recieved error:
"The winzip installation prcedure could not proceed because the following window is not responding:"
Window title:
window class: tooltips_class32

My system seems to be hanging when i try to install anything...

can anyone point me in the right direction... Its a fresh install of w2k.
 
Hanging when trying to install anything or just this program? Hate to say it but there is a lot of software out there that just won't run on win 2000 as it was written. Is your software NT compatible at the LEAST? Sounds like a specific error to the tooltips file within winzip. Check their website.
