Hi all: I hope there is a simple answer to this one.
I just set up a simple 100Mbs ethernet peer to peer network(two W2K Pro pc's, fresh install of each) at home for the purpose of sharing a dial-up connection and a printer. File sharing, printer sharing and ICS work perfectly EXCEPT that if dial-up on demand is enabled on the host, if the client pc is re-booted and logged on, the host modem dials my ISP and establishes a connection.
The rub is that I want it to dial up on demand...but MY demand! If I disable "Dial up on Demand" in the host, the client pc can't connect. This kind of defeats the purpose of ICS; I've scoured the kb and other forums and can't find a solution that fits my situation...the only likely scenario I can find is that there may be a specific order in which to setup file & print sharing and ICS and I may have come up with an install sequence that triggered the problem.
Any ideas?
