Does anybody know what kind of conflict I`m dealing with.?? When using Adobe Illustrator under W2k the cpu usage stars pumping like a heartbeat between approximately 10-50 percent, in a steady rhythm, also when theres absolutely no user doing anything ? My system is a abit kt7a-raid, but a friend of mine observes the same phenomenon on a Sony/intel portable.
Thanks

Illustrator 9.0 - whether its accessing the HD, I can`t say anymore than this pulse is beating quiet and steady. How can I tell when its accessing the harddisc ?
When opening the program everything`s normal. Pulse starts when I open ex. some kind of image, the timeglass appears and stays/follow the mouse when moving it around through various operations/manipulations. But even if I don`t do anything at all, not moving anything or touching anything, the pulse remain pumping.

There are two upgrades to Illustrator available.
Also, if you installed Norton Filesaver you need to add *.lst to the list of file exceptions to avoid the hourglass slowdown.

thanks Jerr, I`ll look into those upgrades AND figure out how to add those file endings. I had norton utilities installed (trials). Your bet is Norton`s conflicting with Illustrator, then....?
