W2K: How do you format a large FAT32 partition?

I have a need for FAT32 for DOS compatibility and need to regularly delete/create a partition of a certain size, format it FAT32 in windows

Trouble is it wont let me make a partition larger than 30-ish gig.

Any cheats around this?

Knoppix boot CD?
Or if you've got a Win9x system (or setup CD) around, use that.

The question was how can it be done INSIDE w2k. I do not want to exit W2k to do it otherwise i'd simply use a DOS7 disk, fdisk and format.

are you using gui? Try disk management or command line.

Nope, can't be done by the MS tools from within Windows.

try partition magic

There is no work around for this. Either boot to a floppy and fdisk it, grabbing the Fdisk for Winme to do it, as 98SE fdisk will not report drive sizes right over 64 gig. Also Fdisk will only create a drive of either 127 or 137 gig, no matter what. Any larger and you need to use a software solution like Partition Magic or something similar.
