W2K AS to W2K Server

If I back up the system state from a W2K Advanced Server can I restore it to a regular W2K server? I need to convert one of my servers from AS back to regular server and would like to do it as quickly and painlessly as possible so what I'm hoping is that I can wipe the boot drive, re-install W2K Server then restore the SS from the back up tape and have it up and running with a minimum of down time.

I don't see why it wouldn't work.....it's about the same as restoring from tape.

If we're talking about domain controllers, it definitely is not a good idea. Otherwise, I have no idea.
