Ok, I just ran HD Tach and my performance was horrible. I thought this was supposed to give me close to 66MB/s???
I got a max of 10MB/s. Is there some way to fix this? The bios reports that the drive is set to run at UDMA 4. Is there a registry fix? I have the latest drivers and bios.

Thanks.

They're is a ATA 100 driver posted on the Soltech motherboard sight for win2K.
I use this for mine and I now get 22800

I doubt you can get 66MB/s... even with ATA/100

Those I believe are in burst mode... meaning you'll see it once in a while..

FWIW, the HPT366 is only an ATA-66 controller, so ATA-100 drivers won't do a darn thing for you.

If anything, you need to be a little more specific about the controller (besides the chip; mobo or on a card?) and what drive.

You could benchmark the drive with the motherboard's controller too, to have a baseline.
