I'm considering to get a T-bird (1GH?) system for W2k. Would you recommend it? Are there things I should look after for T-bird system and W2k?

I'd like hear stories from people who have W2k and T-bird setup.

I'm running Windows2000 Pro on a T/Bird 750 and I have no problems at all.

I recommend getting as much RAM as you possibly can though

There shouldnt' be any real issues that are specific to Win2K and AMD chips. Yes, you'll have to get the latest drivers for the VIA chipset, but you have to do that with any other OS too.

As for the RAM mentioned above. That would apply to any installation of Win2K. Not just the AMD ones.

I am running a 1Gig Socket A TBird on a MSI K7T Pro under Win2000 and it runs perfectly. I have ran Win98SE, WinME & Win2K on this system and Win2K seems to run the best. Get as much memory as you can, I am using 256MB PC133 Micron which works fine for my system which is completely loaded. You should have no problem with Win2K in your system.
