Question W10 won't read USB sticks larger than 1GB

HELP! This is really bizarre. My W10 Pro 20H2 File Explorer won't recognize any USB stick larger than 1GB! It recognizes a 4GB stick but will only format it to 1GB and won't see my 32GB and 64GB sticks at all even tho I can see and format it in Disk Management. I think this started after I did this to "debloat" W10: https://www.christitus.com/debloat-windows-10-2020/

Why not try "rebloating"? Just reinstall windows.

go to settings/update and security/recovery.

Look under the first item "reset this PC"

You can opt to keep your personal files etc.

What worked was changing the drive letter in Disk Management. Unfortunately I discovered that after resetting W10. Now I have a bunch of dead shortcuts and folders in the Start menu. Where is this data stored so I can delete it easily? Thanks.
