W10 32bit with 8GB ram

W10 pro 32 bit, with 8GB ram (4x2GB). I realize the system can only utilize about 3.5 GB of the ram due to the 32 bit setup. Is there any downside at all to leaving the system at 8GB? Is there any possible advantage?

If it makes absolutely no difference at all, I'd just as soon remove 2 sticks and leave more room on the mobo

It doesn't make any difference what so ever, except in corner cases were PAE is enabled. But an application needs to be PAE aware, and such are extremely rare (due to x64), unless you're compiling yourself.

Just remember to remove the correct DIMMs, or you loose dual channel support. 🙂
