this rules...i cant wait to play all my old games now. i allocated 512MB memory to it and it has 15GB of hard drive space. hopefully i didnt reformat my physical drive...

but boy, those fonts need cleartype badly.

will post screenshots later if people want!

im thinking of installing windows 2000 as well...just for the hell of it.

Actually, once Vista comes out, or VMWare releases their Virtualization supported version, virtual machines on AM2 cores would be bloody fast.

unfortunately the oldest windows i have is win95...i would have done 3.1, but im too skeptical of things not working with new hardware, etc.

how does it perform? Is the 15 GB partition still accessible in explorer when the rest of the drive is formated in NTFS?

If it is similar to VMWare then the 15 GB partition looks like a > 15GB file (or files) on the host machine.

You could always use sharing to access the partition contents, but you would need to have the virtual machine running.

it has something like that. virtual machine has to install "virtual machine extensions" by putting a cd image under windows 98...then you install it like normal. then you can then share any folder on any drive on your computer. its kinda cool. im now going to share my 2 hard drives in windows xp so i can access them for game saves and such.
