it was close, us(sycamore, black top and shorts) and morris(white shirt, red shorts). they were ahead by just 1 point and it came down to the last event, the 4*4 relay. i was anchoring and when i got the batton, me and the morris guy were neck and neck. ive never had so much adrenaline in my life. on the last straight i burned past him and won the meet for us. there were about 12 teams competing i believe. what added to the effect was that this was the last race on my home track and i got to run it in the dark with the lights on with about 1000 screaming fans. it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

i came in first with a 1:59. it was senior night too. man, everything just fell right into place that night. coulda have dreamed it would have ended that good. i always wanted to win a race for my team in the last event....i finally got my chance 🙂🙂
