Thank goodness! I was worried there a few days ago that something was wrong since we had some sunshine.

Well, we are back (once again) to the good old fashioned rain we have been having almost every day for a month or so now.

I think we might all be sinners or something.

NY ... I was about to start a thread on this too... WhoTF do we complain to about the rain all the time anyway? NOBODY. That blows in and of itself.

It's reportedly going to be off and on this frequently throughout the whole damn summer. WHY ?!

What makes this summer so damn different ?

Yep I'm in the land of the Duncan Donut..Boston. I've never seen so many bald fat pasty white Archie looking Mofo's in my life. At least in Ca we had racial diversity. Here everybody looks like Norm from "Cheers" The style for the men here is to be 50 lbs overwieght, have a shaved head and Goatee and to display Plumbers Crack at all times.

Actually I'm kidding. It's very similar to Ca as far as the population and it has more culture. I actually prefer the City of Boston over San Francisco though the weather in the rest of California is vastly superior to Mass.

hehe...I'd say your first paragraph applies more to the Midwest than the East Coast.
I'm a recent transplant as well, from New Orleans to NYC...came up right in the middle of the worst winter in years, and the weather has not improved yet. I'm actually starting to miss the 90 degree 100% humidity days of New Orleans summer...at least they are sunny! 🙂
 
It's not the rain here in NJ that worries me, it's that funny looking boat that one of the neighbors is building. What's a cubit, anyway?

Yes... where mother nature goes medieval on your @$$... hurricanes, tornadoes, and earthquakes!

There are weather trade-offs... but I'd rather keep my house in its foundation, thank you very much.

I don't know about the South and the Twisters and Hurricanes but being from California I can state that in the 48 years I lived there I only experienced one devastating Earthquake (89) and it was more surreal than it was scary. The only buildings and structures that suffered extensive damage for the most part were those not up to code. The total loss of life suffered in Earthquakes over the last 40 years in Ca amounts to about the amount suffered by Twisters and Hurricanes in one stormy season.

Think of Earthquakes as a thrill ride courtesy of Mother Nature

yeah, I love driving down to NJ to go camping, then have it rained out, not to mention walking around in a complete mudhole for about 6 hours... crazy fun! 😀
