For those not in the know, that's a Citroen AX 1.1 1991 "Memphis", and it's going for £550 - just had a guy come round who, funnily enough, was driving an old "BX" model Citroen (same as my mother's car), so I managed to get some sales patter going (don't make them like they used to, etc etc).

He kept commenting how well it had been looked after and really likes it- should be back tomorrow with his daughter to discuss further.

Miles? 105,000.
Still running well; had a new clutch, brakes, CV gaiters (and CV joints later), front axel/driveshaft. Regular oil changes using decent oil at 6,000 miles, same for the sparkplugs (NKG or Bosch).

I've worked out that I bought it for £1200 and from garage work and so forth alone, I've put £900 into it over four years- definitely not a great expense.

Road tax, insurance, petrol, wax, minor spares (wingmirror etc) add a bit more, but a 1:1 initial spend/maintenance ratio for a 14-year-old car isn't bad at all.
