Hmm, doesn't work on mine, but I don't think I have all the touchpad/mouse control drivers so that is probably why. I have to admit that I was not aware of this little tidbit before.

You should also be able to set it up in the mouse options to do different actions for double-finger and triple-finger taps. This is what I've done with my laptops, I don't even use the mouse buttons.

Can't do anything with the triple taps and whatnot... but I CAN set 'tap zones' to do different things apparently, which is what I did. Tapping the bottom left of my pad is mid click, and top left is the start menu (i have my start bar at the top). Neat stuff, just got this thing and didn't see those options.

Weird... I just figured this out like 2 days ago as well.

I was always pissed that I couldn't open a new tab with a single click... now I can, kind of.

I didn't know about this, either, but then again, My HP laptop at work has a middle button.

I always just used Ctrl+touchpad tap. My left mouse button on my old laptop would screw up all the time so I used the touchpad for clicking on stuff.

I can't believe this is news....

If you have a laptop with the synaptics touchpad (almost everyone does) it is part of the settings. You can choose whether it does it or not.

I have a feeling that other drivers provide this support as well, but most people have the synaptics if they have a dell.

Check the properties for your synaptics device. Should be under control panel, mouse, synaptics device.

I just figured out a week ago that there was a button on my keyboard to turn on some keyboard light above the monitor. I had NO idea that was there.

I see that function key listed on a few laptops but have never actually gotten any light to turn on. Maybe the key is standard on some models while the actual light is not...
