Man...I miss WinCo Foods...such great prices.

Heck, I just miss Oregon...

I still call it Cub Foods from time to time, just to annoy people :)

Hahaha, I remember when it changed from Waremart to Cub Foods in Corvallis (long before it changed to Winco.) They made you mark the prices on the cans and boxes yourself with a black grease pencil, and you could bring in empty 2 liter bottles to fill up with generic pop.

Wow, crazy.

I do believe that is against health regulations now.

They are putting in a walmart 24 hour super center in my town. (breaking ground in January) My town is a small potatoes place. It'll be good to have somewhere nearby to get things from, but so many places are going to go out of business nearby.
It's supposed to increase the traffic flow through our town by 50%... which means many of our streets will have to be widened and restructured by 2006 when building is completed to handle it all.

The store is being build between the entrance to the interstate and the prime residential areas of the town, so it better be worth the hell the residents of the town are going to go through for the next couple of years.

I don't know, it's pretty much the same thing as filling up your own water jugs at the store. I remember that they were not allowed to do it for you, so I'd guess the health department had already worked out the details by then. Back then, almost nobody drank pop the way they do now, by the gallon.

Walmart is a pretty decent store. Hell, they sell firearms. They are ok in my book.
