W00t! I am a beta tester for the new Counter-Strike 1.4!!!

Yes, I just got a e-mail today with all my info to get the new version of it. It is very sweet. About the jumping thing, it really isn't like MOHAA. What happens is when you jump, you can jump as high as before but when you land you slow down for a second or two. It is kind of annoying but I guess I would have to get used to it. Post your questions!

Not really that I can see, it looks the same to me. The really cool thing about this is when you die you go in this really sweet spectator mode which you can pick if which view you want - first person, third person and this above the map view where you see markers showing the ppl playing in the map.

edit: oh. so that's sort of like that spectator mode they came out with v1.3 but the only way to see that was going into a specator only server to watch, and couldnt play.. i thought it was cool in the beginning, but i havent looked.. too much of a hassle to have connnect to another port just to play.. good they're implementing while actually playing

They didn't release any new maps or weapons in the beta, maybe the newer betas will have that stuff.

anyone who plays CS is a real newb.. I played that game since Beta 3.. and it never got better through all of the beta's it could be so good. Go newb in your CS.

I've been playing it since Beta 1 and it won't compete with any game in the book even MOHAA. MOHAA is a great game but I just don't like the movement.

AHH, oh yes, how could i forget. The days of platform jumping in order to keep the bomb out of sight, ahh, it's been too long. But Counterstrike sucks now, hackers and bugs are still abound and most importantly, PLENTIFUL.

That's the biggest problem with CS right now. When the release this new version it is supposed to be cheater-free...hopefully.
