w00t! Getting my iPod sometime today....anything/tweaks I should know of?

My Nomad II crapped out out me within days of the new iPod coming out, and using the original Diamond Rio 300 sucked. Eight whole songs I fit on that thing, and that was after making everything 96kbps :disgust:

Anyway, I purchased the 10GB version & I'll be using it with my WinXP laptop. I know there isn't an iTunes out for PC yet, and that it comes with MusicMatch, but everytime I've used that in the past, I've been unimpressed. Are there other options? Also, are there any tweaks of any sort for it yet?

I use Musicmatch too and I hate it. Most of the audio played on my PC's use Cubasis stuff. Even my normal MP3 playing is done mainly on Traktor DJ, a Cubasis mixing program. I also run Macs too and love my Itunes. It's predecessor SoundJam was great too. I have yet to find a suitable PC equivalent for either. I notice all the PC junk is lacking in alot of features or ease of use, yet have a surplus of advertising... can't wait for the windows version of Itunes.
 
Well, I got it today and I love it 😀

I've installed MM and Ephod but I'm charging this sucker right now, so I haven't played with it too much.

remember to take care of the battery. Those have a notorious record of wearing down fast. Unlike what most people think, you can replace the battery in an ipod. You have to use a PDA battery.

do you mean does it come with newer models or only for newer models? I don't know what version will come with the newer models probably this 1.3 version. here is the info for older models which should be compatible.

right now I dont see any windoze installers but they should be out with it pretty soon since they stated early May release.
 
I tried Ephod, and while it does have lots of features over MM, it seems really buggy to me. It crashed at one point and I had to wipe the iPod 😱
