thats what i'm talking about... i have a roomie but he is fairly cautious about locking the door when he leaves... tough call. by 24/7 it more like, when ever i'm in my dorm, not playing games or watching movies, there is music going, and i stream digitally imported at night to sleep to.
yea 3400 is steap... but this is the best out at the moment. i mean have you ever seen a desktop computer with a 2.6 p4? letalone a laptop.
it was more like 350. i realized that after i bought it. i didn't pay for it so i guess i'm not going to worry about it, but yea, that could've been the money i ued for the 5.1's. atleast i didn't go through with the alienware that i ordered, then i would've been taken for about 1400
very little heat difference as far as i can tell, they have a 2.4 in the store i was playing with. it's mostly bragging rights, i actually paid for the 2.4 anyway.

fool... did you read my system specs first??? you can't select a 2.6 p4 on that site, let alone the 2.4, and you can account for the price difference when you go and sawp out the hard drives for faster ones on that site either.
edit: i didn't want to waste my time going down the list even furthur but i'm sure there is more that you can get from that site, maybe the extigy sound??? yea.
click on the custom build link and and you can do all the things you said. swap with 2.6mhz cpu, add another harddrive. cant choose a faster harddrive but thats only a $20 difference so whatever.

i see, clicked on the wrong link the first time. i came up with 3270 for my book there, that dosen't include the extigy though. and if i had problems with it i would have to ship it back, with pchertz i just drive it over there and it would be done by the end of the day.
$3270 is close enough. the extra $200 definitely covers the extigy and the proximity of the dealer. very nice laptop!

Wow that thing is huge. I thought my college issued laptop was a brick lol. My next laptop is going to be either a Toshiba Protege or a Fujitsu P2000. I want something that weighs 3lbs and under.
