VZW music kit...

I understand there is seething hatred around here these days for verizon, but i'm curious about the music kit...it would be great if i could pop a 1gb microsd into my V3M and (with the $30 music kit) freely transfer my music onto my phone. Though something tells me its not anywhere near that easy. Has anyone tried the kit out? and i already have the mini usb>2.5mm adapter and a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter...

I've got an LG 8300 and I just popped the card into the phone, turned it on, turned it off, took the card out and plugged it into a media reader. Then drug my tunes over to the "My_Music" directory and then slapped it back into the phone.

It worked like a charm. No kit needed.

I bought the kit for my LG 9900, I dunno why because I could have just used te card reader like vi_edit mentioned above. Anyway, if you do buy it, don't bother installing the VCast software. Just install your phone's drivers and use the supplied cable. WMP should detect the phone fine. It is convenient to be able to use the sync feature in WMP.

I have a LG 8300. you do not need the kit.

just get a card reader and transfer them to the MicroSD card.
