Send a TXT msg to 46645 (googl), and in the message field put what you want to search for and the zipcode, like "pizza05452" or "gas05452" or something like that. You'll get a TXT msg back from Google with a listing of local places offering the product/service you requested, and it's a heck of a lot cheaper than 411.

Probably nothing new, but it was to me at least, which is sad considering I sell phones for a living :(

I think that works on any cell phone, not just Verizon and Sprint.

It's a Google service, not affiliated with the cellular companies.

It might, but I'm pretty sure the carrier has to set the address 46645 to go to Google, it'd be stupid not to do it though. My boss pointed it out to me, saying that it was way cheaper than 411 and with my unlimited txt'ing plan I'm going to abuse it.

BTW, looking up "hookers05452" brings back a reply about AM/EX Financial Services.

yes, it is a google service and not affiliated with any one cell company. If you have text messaging you can use it. I am on Tmobile and it works for me

Works with any provider, with a couple stipulations (if you migrated your number recently), and I think they recently added more functionality, like directions. It's a neat tool.
