.vxd error messages at bootup....

while booting up....i'm getting .vxd errors on this laptop i'm fixing for a friend....wat could be the problem?...the specific errors are....vredir.vxd, and dfs.vxd

any ideas??

common problem, did you have problems with a network adapter?.. well it doesnt matter.. to get rid of the errors go to start>run>regedit
once in regedit it do a ctrl-F , remember to write down each one of those vxd's, and do a search for each one, delete the keys that it finds for it, only delete the keys that pertain to those files (its obvious), then reboot and you shouldnt get any more error messages....

one more quesion.....how do i know the keys?

would they be n e thing pertaining to the name i searched for pretty much?

alrite....that fixed the problemmmm....thnx guys.....but i'm also getting this error once windows begins loading......"unable to load the dynamin link library: msnp32.dll .....etc.."....wat's up w/that?

yea yea yea.....that was my original plan....but no can do....this guy is anal about his info on his business laptop so i can't format....n e other ideas?

if you have win98SE, the msnp32.dll is in net7.cab. to restore it, if your cd drive is d:, you would go to run and type:

extract d:\win98\net7.cab msnp32.dll /l c:\windows\system
