Anyone tried out the VX9800 yet? Its in the verizon stores now and it sounds awesome. Is the interior screen really sharp with the extra resolution and is the QWERTY keyboard comfortable?

Well, it does have a full qwerty keyboard and a hi res internal screen. But its the same thickness or actually smaller than a VX8100. The big difference is the length but I measure my phone and that would be equivalent to from the bottom to the top of the stub. Not a big difference probably, you actually hold it or just saying based on pictures?

VX9800:
4.57" x 1.97" x 1.00" (116 x 50 x 25 mm)

VX8100:
3.58" x 1.92" x 1.03" (91 x 49 x 26 mm)

for the lazy

I'm all for evolution but I really don't like the way it looks. And people who've had LG phones liked the clam-shell style.. I don't think they'd go for this.

Nothing wrong with options. I mean they are trying to qwerty it out because the only real other one out there is the sidekick. And that looks like a toy to me. I think the flip phone looking more like a real phone is nice. The second picture makes it look really big but the next one makes it look small. Even a poster said that it is much smaller in person.
