VX922 Owners - Uniformity Problems?

I am looking to purchase a new monitor. I already tried the VX924 out but I just could not stand the uniformity issue: the top 1/3 of the screen was darker than the bottom 2/3. But at least I did not notice any ghosting on the VX924.

Looking at Tom's 19" CD roundup the VX922 receives the most praise for gaming, which is what I am mostly going to be using it for.

Now I have pretty much only heard very positive things about the VX922 when it comes to gaming. My main concern is the uniformity problem. Does it exist?

Are you viewing the monitor at the proper angle? If it can tilt forward or backward, adjust the screen so that it is uniformly bright. If there is no tilt adjustment, then try raising or lowering your chair or the monitor.

Partial glare such as a window hitting only the top 1/3 of the screen can also cause part of the image to appear washed out.

Well I already returned the VX924 and I am absolutely positive that it was not a question of neither viewling angle or partial glare. I was able to spot the uniformity problem from pretty much any angle.

I also went to the store where I bought it and had a look at another VX924. It looked exactly the same.
