Picked up a Viewsonic VX2453 (LED backlight) recently and while it's certainly bright and vivid when it comes to colors & white, blacks are really not dark at all. I have a Samsung 2233rz and Samsung P2250 (which I was intending to replace as it's a bit too small) and they both handle blacks considerably better.
The VX2453 has been getting good reviews overall so I wanted to see if there's something I'm not doing correctly, or if I'm just spoiled by the other displays. I've tried messing with both the settings on the monitor as well as in Nvidia control panel but have not been able to achieve anything satisfactory.
I have a GTX 275, I'm using HDMI (HDMI -> DVI cable) and have set it to PC mode.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: I'm going to try switching to YCbCr444 later to see if that helps as has been recommended elsewhere. I'll update with how it goes.
