Volkswagen revealed that the Nardo supercar project (originally called W12) finally came to an end. When Ferdinand Piech was still in charge of the company, he insisted to put the controversial VW-brand supercar into small-scale production, despite of doubts about who will buy a VW supercar. He poured tenths of millions of Deutsch marks into the project, even built a prototype to set category long-distance speed records. Now new boss Bernd Pischetsrieder finally admitted the car has well passed its sell-by-date (the Giugiaro-styled concept car was first shown in motor show in 1997) and decided to terminate the program.

This is one badass car.

Uh, who sh*t in your corn flakes this morning? This car isn't an uber-exotic for nothing. F1 houses the most advanced race cars in the world. Can you think of a better car to model Enzo after?

Me bitter? Just because I think that the new Ferrari looks pretty lame with it's wannabe F1-look? To be honest, I don't really care what you or anyone else thinks about VW Polo or any opther car. We are all entitled to our opinions, and my opinion is that the new Ferrari's looks are rather lame.

The Enzo costs more than the either of the Batmobiles made for the movies (at least going by the prices each sold at auctions).

360 Modena is LAME???? 575M is LAME???? Someone put this man out of his misery And it is basically an F1 car for the road from its carbon fiber construction to its inboard brakes.

Some think Ferrari's designs are an acquired taste - but to call them lame... that's just asinine.

Ummmm, wher exactly was I talking about 360 Modena or 575M? Please do point out, 'cause I'm dying to know! 360 Modena is a badass car that looks great! This new Ferrari looks like a wannabe F1-racer and it looks lame IMO. And I'm talking about the LOOKS only, I'm NOT talking about the underlying technology!

My apologies. In any event, I think this car is a wonderful adaptation of an otherwise ugly looking design. Let's face it. F1 cars are amazing, but beautiful they are not.

The Enzo is sweeeet.

Well it does look alot better than a F1-racer, I'll grant you that . But the fact that they designed it to look like a F1-racer seems rather... tacky.
