Just got back from Autofest 2004. This was only the second show of any kind I've been to, and the first/only one I've entered (just so I could vote).

(GreatWhite is my 73 Westfalia converted to a high top. It's a beater ATM, but getting there.)

Lots of beautiful bugs, busses, ghias, and even a trio of Things. I forgot my spare batteries so once I got to the show and discovered said missing batteries I had to be picky about what I shot. There were around 60 vehicles total. The Ghia Baja was my favorite. Simply awesome! There was also a Baja Bug with a 911 Porsche 6 cyl engine. Sweeeeeet....

The carabus shots were on the way there. Me, a 1970 Westfalia, a 1957 Deluxe split, and a 1970 Ghia. All you see are the arse end of the 70 though, since that was my place in line. 😉

It started out drizzling and then some dramatic sunrise clouds. Awesome.

Anyway, to finish things off, my bus took 3rd place (!) in the Bay Window category! Go Me!!! 😀
 
Did you have a site deticated to your bus? I remember looking at one, but I can't remember who's it was. Linky?
 
meh i thought im gonna see something like vw vortex (gtis, audis etc)....

hippie buses arent my thing

Hey, not my fault all the squarey owners were afraid to come out in the drizzle. 😛

One notch and one fastback, and neither registered for the judging.

That stuff's useless in typical California poop rain. When it's REALLY raining, it's great. But the drizzle crap we get here just beads up nicely making it pretty difficult to drive.

Sucks.

But I can still do it. I just gotta give myself LOTS of room between me and the car ahead of me.
