Considering that both Mitsubishi (ugh) and Hyundai (double ugh) are overtaking them in sales, I say not long.

Ummm...You can get the Eurovans with the camper/winnebago option.

There'll be a waiting list of deadheads for this thing.

VW usually imports a Westfalia version of the camper van conversions to the US. The current Eurovans really suck, small, underpowered & some serious quality issues.

@ least it won't be a dangerous vehicle like the orig VW vans, one good stiff breeze & you were all over the highway...

I likely wouldn't buy one at this point in time, but it (the Microbus) looks fine to me?

As for the person who claimed all of problems with the current Eurovan, have you ever been in one? (just curious) A good friend of mine has one, and I didn't think it was bad at all, just a bit overpriced.

I don't care how long they ride it as long as it results in vehicles with the proper engine (air-cooled, horizontally opposed) in the proper location (behind a swing-axle rear suspension). :) We need more quirky cars today. I mean come on, where are the Karmann Ghias and the Amphicars of today? The world needs another funky-yet-practical (or quasi-practical in the Amphicar's case) little car. SAAB was carrying the torch for a while but GM buggered everything up (as usual).
