I did a search, but didn't come up with much. Who are the "definitve" aftermarket tuners and part accessory makers for WV's?

Thanks, I checked out VWVortex... but didn't seem to find much, plus the site was running *hella* slow. Specifically I'm looking for the Touareg. More specifically (for right now at least) I want that big WV on the front grille gone.

depending on which engine you have here are your tuning options:

1.8T - Go for a remapped ECU program commonly referred to as a "chip". instant 40whp and a whole lotta torque (no im not joking about the numbers)

Goapr.com - their chip is set at 1.0 bar of boost which is about 15-16 PSI for the stock k03/k04 Hybrid turbo.
GIACUSA.com - their chip is the most aggressive set at a whopping 1.3 bar of boost with roughly 19-20 psi on the stock k03/k04 hybrid turbo. <insert drop jaw icon here>

Exhaust - defintely go Milltek catback and downpipe. best sound in the industry and about 12-15whp horsey gains as well.

Suspension - H&R coilovers or H&R race/sport springs with a set of Koni Adjustable shocks will greatly improve the handling and looks of your ride. Match that up with a Neuspeed 28mm sway and you will be ready to tangle Angeles Crest at your leisure. (provided you know the limits of your car and yourself)

This is just a start to what is an endless money pit of mods (euro accessories, aftermarket wheels, etc) belive me, i know ;) :-X

yeah the vortex is being mad slow at the moment, but believe me when i say it is by far the largest source of VW info out there. In the forums you will have enough information to last you a lifetime. and a few tips to save you some flames: search is your friend, and first thing you do is read the FAQ's on top of every thread, it will save you much hassle. enjoy :)

Ha, cool thanks. I thought vwvortex was the place to go, I will give it another go. When car first comes out it's always hard to find stuff for it, was like that with my 99 3 series too. Drove me nuts. Every other car I've had, when the decision to mod it was made, stuff was out for it already... that and I knew where to go for bmw and porsche.
