why do you think they said they were abandoning mobile; its because no one wanted their stuff;

To be fair, it was the "mobile phone" end of mobile which they abandoned- I don't think they intend to abandon tablets. The big Tegras are too hot to feasibly fit into mobile phones, and their modem tech just wasn't that competitive. I suspect that they are winding down the Icera modem development, and focusing more on tablet, STB, automotive and embedded.
