Vulgar posts and signatures

I just saw a couple of posts that included a signature with a so-called joke line referring to sexual intercourse in a vulgar way. Why is this any more acceptable in a public space than a racist remark or any other kind of bigotry? Remarks like that are often perceived as aggression toward women, a display of contempt. IS that acceptable at Anandtech?

Supposedly, the mods likely have already seen the sig to which you allude and they haven't found it to be a problem. If they haven't seen it, perhaps if you point them/us to it they can decide whether they agree with you or not.

Aggression toward women - I have not heard a female member of this forum complain about the many sexual jokes and remarks flying around.
