VT vs. Northeastern

Why would whoever was in charge of the schedules match these two teams together? No offense to Northeastern, but after yesterday I see no reason why they should be playing a school like VT. Whos bonehead idea was it to put these two teams together. And why is our schedule fvcked up to hell?

northeastern got a hefty check to pay them to play. that's why all these little school play big schools, because of the $$

Non-conference schedule.

The little teams use it to get their name out, the big teams use it to warm-up.

Yeah, but this was like total anhilation (sp?). They had no chance whatsoever to do anything. Every time they tried we'd just come along and beat the crap out of them.

Check out Auburn's non-conference schedule:

Washington State
Buffalo
Tulane
Arkansas State

A combined 13-32 record in 2005..

38-0 is not really that big of a blowout in a non-conference game.. I've seen much worse..

So many teams playing creampuffs. So many bad mismatches just in the first week. ESPN loves to show those teams getting pummeled. Pick on somebody your own size! 😛.

I went to the Arizona/BYU game last night, those teams were evenly matched. Arizona won with a last second FG (yay) but all in all they still looked bad as usual, offense was awful (5 yards rushing after the first half, our QB was 9-39 with one TD and one INT, he must of been real nervous or something). Defense was quite good. Looks like it's going to be another bad year for Zona though. But i digress. Ariz usually has the #1 rated toughest schedule in the country, i think it was the past 2 or 3 years, not sure about this year, it's a pretty tough schedule. Unless our Offense gets 2 or 3 times better over night, it's going to be another disappointing season.

You must have missed the Texas vs. North Texas game...

Acutally ( this was in our local paper) Tech tried to play Wisconsin, but the plan fell through, so they had to pick up a game somewhere.
