Vsync (Why and Why not)??

Vsync seems to be an option in everygame. When is it good, and when is it bad, Do you use it if you have too much or too little frame rates.??
 
Search is your friend (we had a big discussion about this a while back).

My stance is too keep it off because I don't mind the odd tear it produces compared to the benefits it gives.
 
Turn it on. I will stop your FPS from going over your monitor's refresh rate which eliminates excess frames from showing. This can cause tearing and can make the gaem appear choppy. But if you monitor has a very low refresh rate turn it on.
