Vsync Off in Quake3?

ANyone know how to make sure Vsync is off in Quake 3? I have it selected in my GForce tab but as I can not get the FPS to change no matter what I do for tweaks I am thinging that that is working properly. I was hoping to find a console command to put in my autoexec to be sure it is off.

It should already be off by default. What settings are you running the game at? What FPS does it stay at?

I have all the settings maxed out... however the FPS stays at 83.5, I assumed that this was because of the refresh rate.. although maybe my vid card is maxing there.

I don't think vysnc is controlled by invidual games, only in the registry (or through programs). Have you tried swithcing resolutions. If you're getting say 83.5 at 800x600 or 1024x768 and you drop it down the 640x480 and the fps doesn't change well then you know the vid card isn't maxed. Might be a dumb question, but in your geforce options, do you have vsync disabled for OpenGL and not Direct3d instead?
