Is this a thing? I'm currently running VSR on my G4400 / 7950 3GB / Win10 Home rig, to achieve 2560x1440 resolution at the desktop. (I think it's great, and not quite as blurry as some people make it out to be.)
Anyways, with newer GCN cards (like my un-opened RX 460 4GB Nitro?), can do 4K VSR on 1080P displays like mine.
But I was contemplating getting a 4K 43" HDTV as a PC monitor. (See walmart.com, or the Hot Deals forum for my thread, there's a Sceptre 4K 43" for $249.99 FS.)
If I did, I was wondering, if VSR will allow me to go even higher in resolution on the desktop, say, to 5K, 6K, 8K, etc. I think that would be wild (if it was even readable, like my current VSR setup).
Has anyone with a 4K (physical) display, tried using VSR or DSR for something even higher-res? Does it work? If so, please list your video card specs, and OS.
