VS11 Express Beta in Windows 8 Preview

Trying to install VS 11 Express Beta in the Windows 8 consumer preview running in a VirtualBox VM, and the installer fails before the splash screen is even displayed. I get a dialog stating that a problem has prevented it from working correctly. Tried executing the installer as admin and that didn't help. Tried disabling 2d/3d accel in the VM settings because that has caused an issue in the past, but then Win 8 wouldn't display the start page.

Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: should mention that I have searched MSDN and the feedback database. Nothing yet. Guess it's still too early.

Can you see if installing Framework 4.5 first helps?

I have the thing running on a VM, no issues.

Turns out the problem is the VB Guest Additions. If you uninstall them the installer apparently works. Going to try it in a little bit.

I just downloaded, Windows 8. Gonna fire it up tonight and install VS 11. WOO HOO.

I confirmed last night that uninstalling the guest additions fixes the problem I had. But... I really like the guest additions, so I reinstalled them but left out the d3d support. I'll find out later if VS still works.
