Hello,

I've never had any interest in vpro before so I know jack and squat about it now. I was curious none of my z170 motherboards seem to support it and I couldn't tell if any z370 motherboards support it. It looks like a number of processors that will work with those motherboards support VPRO so I'm confused about what my options are if I buy a new computer. I was considering getting a i7-9700k or 9900k. I think I'd like it to fully support vpro for testing of intel unite. Anyone use vpro on a z170 z370 motherboard?

Thanks. I wonder why they aren't in the z boards and what the difference is in the q series. I thought Z was their best.

Q370 seems like a bit better chipset than Z370, save for overclocking. It was just released.
It natively supports USB 3.1 Gen 2, apparently. No Asmedia controller.

Q and Vpro look to be directed at business use.

As stated by LTC8k6, Q series chipsets and vPro are targeted to business use. If you're not sure what it is and don't have access to take advantage of vPro, don't bother. It's an extra cost and is one of the earlier security threats that started coming out against intel.

Edit: I should say i think of vPro and Intel Management engine being the same thing. vPro maybe a broader term to cover more features. I'm not clear on that anymore with some of the marketing stuff Intel has been doing over the years.
