I would like to know what people thought here of this problem. I used to be able to connect with my work through a VPN connection using winMe. I do go through a router which is then connected to my cable modem. However, last week, my internet connection (and thus VPN) wasn't working. I came to the conclusion after some trouble shooting that it was due to a bad PMCIA Lan card that I am using on my notebook. I replaced that and now everything works great again but now I can't get VPN to work. I have reinstalled everything (network components) and even windows -- still can't get vpn to work. The VPN client I am using is the one that comes with windows Me. The people at my work state that they have not changed anything and that it should work. So I started thinking that something got changed on my laptop making me unable to use vpn. So I tried setting up the software on my other computer (also connected through the router to the cable modem) and it too won't connect using vpn. Now my other computer shouldn't have any previous vpn settings to screw up the connection.
So I am at a loss as to why it would work before and now it won't. I am thinking that maybe it's my router since it uses NAT for a firewall. However, I had it working through the router before.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
